EXTRAIt all begins innocently enough: two young friends, intrigued by ghostly lore and unsolved mysteries, explore an abandoned cottage in hopes of uncovering a few spooky secrets. Instead, they stumble upon dead crows pinned to the earth, footprints appearing from nowhere, and a chilling sense of something utterly malevolent. One of them sees visions of a fiery tragedy from decades past; the other flees in terror – only to be confronted by the fabled “Coast of Bower,” a phantom carriage led by dark horses and a headless driver. Suddenly, the idea of childish curiosity and summer exploration is crushed by the realization that Death can come calling on any lonely road. If this is merely a glimpse of the “Grim Reaper,” what might full exposure look like?
