The Death Pool

What do you do when an unknown force draws you to a place of danger, a place of potential death? How do you avoid such danger? That’s today on Real Ghost Stories Online.
Here is a sample of the story.
“The conflicting voice of logic told me not to and didn’t. Next thing I knew, seconds later, I was in a trance. All the while, in the back of my head, I’m thinking: “This is how I’m going to die; I’m going to be 11 years old and I’m going to get trapped under the ice of my pool!” I was aware that I was stepping down onto the icy pool with my back to the wall, but I couldn’t stop myself, all the while unsuccessfully trying to resist. As I’m standing on the ice, I turn around, try to step back on the deck, but I’m paralyzed. I’m terrified, “I don’t want to die.” I thought. I heard an extremely faint, almost inaudible crack beneath the snow-covered ice as I plummeted into the icy water below. Instantly, after that, the trance lifted and I pulled myself out. I plummeted waste deep. I wasn’t cold, but I felt shaken. I couldn’t get the boy I felt like I was out of my head.”
