Knowing Ahead

Does a person have the ability to know about events that have yet to occur in the future?
Here is a preview of the story.
“For example, here is one of the most recent precog events that occurred to me. I knew days ahead that I was going to be in a car accident. I sensed it would not be a severe one and had no idea when or where. I, of course, was extra careful about the next couple of days when I drove, but I knew an accident was coming. When it happened, there was nothing I could do to prevent it. The drive was extremely icy and sloped downward. The car in front of me had stopped to make a turn. I was going about 10km an hour, and I could not break and slide right into the car ahead of me. Damage to both vehicles but no injuries, luckily.”
