Fading Into The Light
Did a viewer of a once-popular TV show get a sign of a star’s death before it happened?
Here is a preview of the story.
“My mother called to me to turn off the TV and go to bed. The room was dark, and the only light was coming from the hallway.
I said…NO, that’s Hoss Cartwright!!!!
But she insisted that I turn off the TV. Finally, she came into the room and turned off the TV despite my objections.
I watched as he slowly faded into that circle of light until the screen went black. I remember feeling quite sad, but I guess that is where the dream ended.
The next morning as I was lying in bed, thinking about getting up for the day…I heard my mom and my uncle talking in the living room. I would usually listen to them talk as he would drop by most mornings for coffee on the way to work.”
That is the Story I told for years. And I still remember it. Seeing someone in the hallway with a lantern. But I have wondered what happened that night.
For years I have tried to get my mom to talk about it—tried to get her to tell me what happened from her point of view. Was it my dad? Did we just make it up?”
