Dirty Floor Basement

What kind of spirits lurked deep below a home with an ugly dirt floor basement?

Here is a preview of the story.
“Dirt floor, single light bulb hanging in the middle, cold, and medical beds everywhere. But there was one part of the basement that terrified me to no end. It was a corner of the basement dug out that was much darker than the rest of the room. Anytime I walked by it, it made me extremely uncomfortable, and it was always super cold and smelled like it was rotting. But, as soon as I heard my grandma whisper my name from downstairs I froze. I decided to pretend I did not hear it and try to walk into the living room anyway, until she said it again but louder. I thought that by the way she said it I was in trouble, so I started making my way to the basement stairs where I saw the light was on but an empty room. I called out to her but there was no response. Thinking she was just playing a joke on me I proceeded downstairs. I remember as soon as I got to the last step it got 10x colder, so cold it sent a shiver down my spine. I started walking around calling out to my grandma with no reply. Until I had turned my back to the portion of the room that was dug out, it got colder, and I froze. I felt that something was watching me. I wanted to run back up the stairs as fast as I could, but my legs would not let me. Standing there I heard something breath and come close to my neck.”

Most recently our living room light dimmed, and I was in there on my own. The light switch is the one that turns, and the power is only at one electrical point in the room. At first, I thought there was a drop in power but when I checked the dimmer it had been turned down, so it was not a power issue.

I know many people may think I am imagining this now I listen to your show, but I really do not think this is the case. These occurrences happen at different times, not during or just after listening to your show. I really do not believe it is simply that your show is playing on my mind and my mind playing tricks on me; I have never feared anything like this.”
