Can a person become possessed?

Can a person become possessed? The short answer is yes. As for how… that is another discussion.
Sometimes a person can become possessed without even knowing it. Yearly “grooming” by spirits in a haunted environment, slowly breaking down the defenses of a vulnerable soul to the point that they are the puppet of the spirit. Often times, if a spirit is to go to such lengths, it’s not for good. You don’t ever hear about the “angel” that took over a soul.
Other times, a person can become possessed in a relatively short period of time after being exposed to dark forces that they were not expecting, or possibly invited in without taking seriously. Other times, an innocent bystander can be the victim of a demonic force by pure happenstance.
Today we hear several stories of people being taken over by forces other than their own.
