The Boy With No Face

Who was the haunting little boy with no face that two children saw in their basement one fateful day? Was here there to play, or did he have sinister intent?
Here is a sample of the story.
“My dad had put my sister down for a nap, and I, as usual, refused to take one too. He asked me to go play downstairs while my sister napped, and he did the dishes. I headed through the basement door and down the stairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, there was a little boy dressed in a white shirt with blue jeans on, but NO FACE! I ran back up the stairs crying and straight to my dad. I was so scared! The only way in and out of the basement was either the door I came through or one that was so hard to open that my dad had to open it for me and my sister until I was about 10. My dad searched the basement with no luck in finding this boy I had saw.”
